hi everybody!!

ive heard of this conversion done so many times but cant seem too find any info on it!!

is it a straight forward engine swap or will i have too buy new parts and have parts made?

ive been offerd a E36 328i engine will this fit the same as the 325i M50 engine?

any info would be very much appreciated.

If you can't find info on this, you must be doing the search wrong!THere's dozens of threads on every aspect of the conversion.
328 engine fits much the same as the 2.5, but benefits from being derestricted by fitting a 2.5 inle4t manifold along with a modified ECU.
Wiring issues are easy for engines up to about 1995, but become a lot more involved after the introduction of the EWS anti theft system.

3 series M50/52/54 engine won't go into an E30 engine bay at all! Needs a sump and oil pickup from a E34 5 series, or start with a 5 series engine in the first place.
Engine and box then drop straight into the engine bay, but then the problems start - exhaust manifold has to be modified and fouls the steering, inlet manifold fouls the brake servo, and there are various propshaft issues.
All perfectly solvable problems, but certainly not "drop straight in".
