im getting another tech 1 engine this week as a spare
so thinking to put this in the sport and do a full rebuild on mine
and if poss take it out to a 2.7 at the same time
would also like some added extras to bring the power up to a good level
so my question is whats the rebuild to 2.7 spec likely to cost£?
also what else could i do whilst keeping the block original?
i know F I is the obvious route but that would drasticaly change the external appearance of the engine
what else and why please??

as much as i can strip stuff down and usualy get it back together too
i just aint very technical and wouldnt know where to begin tbh mate
with reg making it a 2.7 using my block etc
but it seems like the sensible thing to do
take mine out put the spare in and get mine major sorted

dont think the increase would be worth all that trouble!strap a turbo on m8 and stop messin and swapping engines!
but i maybe biased?
why cant you just use the 525e bottom without dismantling and strap the 2.0 or 2.5 head with required work?
engine parts can be pricey such as o/s pistons around 600 for set of 6 at my local engine service centre.
machining,shells,gaskets,seals,etc etc
p.s argos has got 1 for sale,ready to plop in?
