1983 eta engine

Hi

I am fitting a 1983 eta engine to my 1987 325is manual.
The block has the 325i dish pistons fiited and I have stripped the head and fitted a 284/272 shrick cam

This engine came out of an auto and I have heard that I will have to fit a spigot bearing to the crank.

What is a spigot bearing? and where on the crank is it fitted?

I thought all I would have to change is the manual fly wheel.

goes in the shallow hole in the flywheel end of the crank.

only a few quid from a dealer. i'd assume you'd order one for a 325i
