MS N/A - O2 sensor?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if I need an O2 sensor in the exhaust to run MS on a N/A 325 - my exhaust doesnt have one.

Get one,
preferably a Wideband kit with a 0-5v output for the MS

I'm sure you can use MS without a 02 sensor, like the Alpha N setup but like Gunni said it's def worth having one, get a WB if you can.

Innovate Lc-1 is 0-5v, $200 + duty &tax etc was by far the most sensible and usefull toy I've fitted to mine. Bloody handy to with 1 to 1.3 bar pumping round the system!

You can make do with NB if you can tune it using a RR and WB, then use NB as a indicator more than a tuning tool.

Which MS are you using?

Ant and I are using V2.2, I'm now using my distributer and original VR sensor and Ant's going wasted spark and edis module, different ways to do the same thing!!

I've just got the MS 1 v3.0 kit.

The problem is going to be getting a boss on the exhaust. Where is the best place to put it?

depends on your exhaust situation,

you could ad a H pipe in there, if you are running double exhaust or just monitor a single bank of headers, the other one shold be identical

02 is not required but strongly advised.

as Gunni has stated, add a bung to one of the two downpipes and you'll be sweet

WB02 for tuning, NB for closed loop fuelling as and when required

Don't forget to weld the boss from a 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock position to prevent the sensor from damage. Also the sensor must be heated (switched on) before or as soon as the engine starts for similar reasons.
