Hi all. I have a 318 auto that i want converted to 325i. I also have the donor car waiting. My problem is,i can`t find a mechanic who is willing to do the job !
If any of you know a competent mechanic in the devon area,could you please let me have their details ?

Would help if you gave us some idea of where you are!
There's nothing particularly difficult in this conversion, except for the need to move around some fairly hefty lumps of metal.
You really need to swap in all the donor running gear and suspension as well as the engine and box to do this conversion properly. Even a bit of welding required - Your 318 won't have the mounting bracket for the clurch fluid resevoir. the mounts for the 325 coolant tank, or the correct mounts for the 325 air filter assembly.
