Possibly going to be the owner of an E32 735i Auto.

What do i need to convert my E30 to a 335i Manual.

What engine mounts ?

What exhaust ?

Can those who have done the conversion please give me some advice ?

Thanks

Ok hate to tell you this but engine mounts you would be better off making them your self same with the exhaust.
My freind and I have built ower own I did the e28 and he used the e34 3.5l
but mine was a lot faster it took me a year 2:79LSD and a getrag265 tranny 17" wheels.
When you proceed with this project it is not as easy as just bolting every thang together, it takes A lot of fabracating But i must say the car is really fun.

You need a manual box, clutch and flywheel. A manual ECU and loom although I think Toby doctered the auto loom to work.

Engine mounts from www.e30.de or karan on the zone.

You can use an E30 M3 exhaust but will need to get a flange made to mate with exhaust system or bodge a standard 325i as a tempory measure.

Good sites for info are:

http://www.tobyunna.com/

http://www.e30.de/

Also worth doing a search on M30 conversions on the zone :thumb:

Good luck mate, hopefully start mine soon

a common misconception. both toby_unna and i used the E32 auto loom and ECU. there are NO problems with it. a few wires will need extending (coil) and a few small alterations need doing to the main engine plug to make the unloader relays work, also a small mod to make the economy gauge work. i think this is still the case with the manual loom though.
look here for info on the connector mods you'll need, both are covered:

i'd use the M3 system. i have the profile for a flange saved as a CAD file to pass to a water or laser cutting company. pm me if you want a copy.

i've just done it and it's well worth doing.
my thread is here: http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... ic&t=22989 it may save you a few questions.
