Ant, i had a word with Doug about how you are best off getting hold of him.

Give him a ring on 07886 005962 if you want to chat to him about MS, just tell him Chip-3door gave you his number.

The E30 M3 Turbo that he mapped is on the cover of the next issue of performance BMW Out second of Feb.

So have a look out for that one if you are interested in it :D

Before buying an engine with ecu and loom I'd have been all over this like a rash.

I considered fitting S50 throttle bodies on my old M42 and running MS with a ford trigger wheel and EDIS.

I think the forum should take more interest in MS. There are some real benefits and the expertise you have to glean will help you out no end as cars become more and more EFi orientated.

To be fair I doubt mine can be fine tuned anymore, after 12+hrs of logging and updates all with wideband I'm 99% mapped, just higher boost levels, 12psi+ yet to do. I'm sure Doug will be having a lookie and all comments will be taken on board. I'm showing ideal AFR's on cruise and boost, max is 12-1 and min is 17-1 when fuel cut kicks in.

But before all that I have some hardware bits to get sorted then I'm going for 15psi and a cooked clutch!

Looks like this mini turbo meet should be a good info hotspot for all things about boosted beemers :D

Just a pity the dock spur is full of road works as it would be ideal test bed for s14 turbo vs m20 turbo

Was a good mini-meet in all, nice to meet Martin & Doug, both had interesting and different approaches to the same issues and all in all I think we may have helped each other with some new ideas and thoughts.

Martins car is seriously tidy and the conversion is done very well indeed, I know I'll be speaking to him again soon re some parts for mine, some very nice fabricating there and I'd like some for me :D

Big THANKS to Ant for driving up too, the lure of boosted e30's was far too much for him too!!

(plus a 10meg datalog is always gonna be useful  )

Hopefully we'll all be at the next lakeside, along with Lennie, Alex and John if he still has his by then.

Mark.

Thats alright Chip. From some of the photos I've seen looks like you were having a cracking night out for your birthday!

Was good to meet Mark and Ant and see how other people had attacked similar projects.

Martins fabrication skills are top notch. Also helps that he has access to all the right tools eg. solidworks, laser cutter, cnc bender, lathe, mill etc etc.

Following on from the from the idea we had in BK I've pencilled us in for a dyno day at LPS on sat the 25th of March. That give every one eight whole weeks to get their cars running spot on :D

Martin will be speaking to Ian from Performance BMW to see if he wants to pop down and cover the event.

So spread the word. I will put a post in the events section shortly.

Chip, you could bring that old track 325 I'm sure I've heard you mention. Or the Custard Creation.... or both if you can find some to drive.

Pencil me in, ive got something in mind that i would love to bring along, but i dont think it will be ready, but thats ok cause can just bring the custard thing instead.

Yeah the birthday celebrations were top notch, but you cant really go wrong when you are sharing your party with someone who is in knee high socks and an 11" skirt, LOL

God no the mini wont even be close mate!!!
At least 18 months left till that comes out to play

I mean the nova, that would upset a few people who think the beemers are quick LOL

The bird in the black top must have been using some sort of tape cause they stayed in all night sadly even when she was dancing vigorously :(
