Do you mean 731 head? You can use a Eta block with the 731 bare head (not cam) and use 325i parts for the rest.
Or do you have a big budget for the 325i/Eta rebuild?

I've used the Eta head with a 325 cam.
What i've heard from Ant is that a 325 cam won't go in a 320 head without modification of some sort. Best bet is to get a uprated cam anyway.

The 325i cam will go into a (731) 320i head without any mods at all.chu346 wrote:I've used the Eta head with a 325 cam.

The 325i/320i cam will not work in the (200) eta head because the eta cam uses 4 out of the 7 available cam bearings, as such the head needs the other previously unused bearings drilling for the oil feeds.
Use a 525e bottom end mated to a 320i head with 325i cam/inlet and exhaust manifolds/injectors/management etc with one of Ant's 2.7 chips for best effect. Using a schrick or piper cam gives really good gains too.

Just going on what I was told. I had the holes drilled for the other 3 bearings in my head. I've not tried a 320 head yet.Templ8e30 wrote:The 325i cam will go into a (731) 320i head without any mods at all.chu346 wrote:I've used the Eta head with a 325 cam.

Why not use a 325i head instead of going to the performance of getting all of the bits fitted into a 320i head. Doesn't the 325 head have extra water ways or something as well?
