hello, Zoner
Need help and info, please.
I just buy e34 m20 520i engine My plan I will convert into m20 b25.
and now I'm confuse about what gear box I should buy? or I can
use e34 m20 520i Gear box? (is it getrag 240/5 or zf?)
and after I buy this gear box, what propshaft and what differential I should buy?
this is from real oem:
e30 320i

Rmfd-FIVE SPEED (OVERDRIVE) TRANSMISSION 240/5.04-BMZ 1 23001221639
and is it same with
e30 320i?

Even if the E34 has a Getrag 240, not only is the output flange too large, but the output shaft that the flange connects to is also too large. To make this work with an E30 propshaft will mean either customising the output shaft, or customising the propshaft.

hello, Grrrmachine
ok, the problem is output flange too large.
if I can't solve the problem, I think I should buy getrag 260 from e30 m20 b25, e30 m20 b25 propshaft and 325i differential?
thank you

That would be the simplest solution. But if it's cheaper, get an E30 320i gearbox and prop, like I did, but still use the 325i differential.
