Hey everyone I have a mint 1991 318i I've came across a 1996 323i as a donor car an was looking to do an engine conversion. I've done a bit of research into this to see what needs doing an make a parts list so far I've got an m50 sump oil pick up etc, Renault Clio master cylinder, water pump an thermostat, e30 temperature sensor.
I was wondering if anybody with a bit of experience in this cld help me as to what else I wld need that I Clint get off donor car also a bit confused as to what gearbox prop combo I should use with my diff. Would like this to go as smoothly as possible when I do it so any info more than appreciated. Cheers

Cheers for the replies boys. Eh I've just landed on that 323i it was my pals and it failed its mot so basically it's free the engine has done 90000 an runs sweet I also live in the isle of islay on the west coast of Scotland so picking things up isn't that easy it's a two an a half hour ferry trip to even get of this rock for a start.
So I take it the engine loom is the same for both the 323 an 328 so I can stick that one in the now an could put a m52b28 in at a later stage if I felt the need.
Would I need a different diff if I ran the 323 gearbox I'm under the understanding the final ratio of that gearbox is wrong for ma diff an would need one out of a e30 325 or a compact 325 would that be right please correct me if wrong.
Please tell me I'm not starting of on a big adventure of banging ma head of the wall saying why did I start this.
