hi - a friend of mine works in a garage and can get me a sachs clutch kit at cost - does anyone know what clutch would be be the best to get - i'll be running a 2.7 block 2.0 flywheel and 2.5 gearbox. do i just ask for the e28 525e clutch kit?

well i am certain the engine is m20 - i dont think the gearbox goes by the m20 code though and i know the 2.0 and 2.5 sport gearboxs are different as i had to buy one for this convrsion - i am wonderiung will the fact i will be running a 2.0 flywheel affect what clucth to get? maybe a hybrid setup is needed?

A standard 325i clutch will suffice, the 320i clutch is the same diameter but with less clamping force.

The 525e was always auto hence no clutch kit available.

Std clutches are very strong, mines holding up well with a few more ponies than a 2.7 will ever develop :D

You can get 3/4/6 puck clutches in the US pretty cheap if you fancied one.
