Hi all,
Mercedes 190 2.3-16v engine fitted into an E30. That is the complete engine, gearbox, fuel system, exhaust, ecu etc.
Been thinking about this for several months now. Anyone already done this? I know it will mean considerable messing around. Would be interested to know everyone's thoughts?
Lastly, to counter the 'why bother' questions - it's much cheaper way of getting a hi-revving 4 cylinder 'track' engine into an E30 than the S14! Plus why not?
Comments/thoughts appreciated.

- Location: Fife - You got a problem with that ?
As a complete aside, do you happen to have the front brake caliper mounts for the same model ?
Better better bet is to spend £5k ish and stick an S52 E36 M3 engine in, probably cost abut the same as an s14 and much more power.

Sounds a shite idea jippo and to be honest 190e cosworth engine belongs in a Merc! Not the greatest engine so why waste the time and money (plus headache doing it!) Get the pictures up of it when you so it though so we can all share your misery!
^^ This, for a high revving 4 cylinder, the S2000 motor is hard to beat.alan1272 wrote:surely a honda s2000 motor or a tuned duratec are much better options for 4 cylinder engines?
can't see 190e cossie engines being plentiful or cheap either.
