Snapped Gas Pedal Cable E30 M52 B28 Build

Question: do I buy an E30 Gas pedal cable or a E36 one?

Hi Guys,

I had the misfortune of snapping my gas pedal cable last night..... Whilst giving the car some welly making toast of a souped up classic VDub

I drove off on second gear and as I approached 40mph changed up to 3rd, that's when the gas pedal let go.

Pulled over and checked it out, clean break on the inside cabin. Engine still revs manually from under the bonnet.
