I think Ant and Fozzy are using this piece of kit on there Turbo motors and i was wondering how you(or any one else) rates it ?

I think all i need to use with my Emerald ECU and a lap top is the LC-1 as i don't think i need the data logging memory of the LM-1 as thats taken care of with the ECU and lap top ?

Is that correct or am i being a muppet and misunderstanding it ? :stupid:

I hope i only need the LC-1 as its quite a bit cheaper than the LM-1 !

The demo videos on their web page are good, worth a watch as i learned that with the data logging you can measure improvments in acceleration when you change the fueling for WOT. You do this by doing a WOT pull in say third from 1k rpm through to the red line, keep an eye on the time it's initially taken to do the pull and try to adjust out any bad fueling. Repeat the WOT pull and recheck the time it took and AFR's to see if it has improved or not.

It will be a bit tricky to do this on the road but i'm sure we could all find a nice quiet road so as not to be a problem to other road users

Dude this is the same one as i have been looking at, its very high end and full of features.

Thing is some mapping will need to be done on the rollers unless you can find a bit of road where you can hold WOT in fourth gear to the limit? winkeye

Why fourth gear ?

I'd sooner do my testing at sub 100 mph if i can help it ?

Theres a nice safe road down by me with no cameras winkeye

I cant remember the reason but you need to do some WOT runs and you need to get a long run which will cover most of the rev range.

The emerald has built in WB02 controller so you dont need the LC 1 either, just the sensor itself, so thats any 5 wire late jap or merc from your local breakers

I've not used the innovate datalogiing software, I used the MS datalog as its all parameters @ once

Innovate is good stuff BTW, cant fault it

Cheers for the info guys 8)

I thought you needed some sort of interface/controller because the voltage wasn't linear(sp?) with the AFR ?

How would you calibrate a WBo2 ?

How would you know which AFR equalls what voltage as i'm guessing getting the specs could be hard ?

Just been looking into the Emerald data logging soft ware again and it's got an customizable(sp?) input table for voltage V's AFR.

the V vs AFR is all documented on the innovate site Andy

as for a scrap yard sensor, hmm, good point as stoich is not always the same value for all sensors
