Sorry for being a post whore in my first night of E30Zone'ing ;) Can you tell me where you guys get the oil feed for the turbo and where do you drop the return into? I'm assuming you just weld a pipe onto the sump and run a hose down from the turbo...main thing I need to know is the oil feed.

Is it a drill and tap job or is a oil cooler sandwich plate an easy option?

Thanks in advance

Pretty sure that we've all made up some form or other of 'T' piece which goes in the oil gallery where the oil pressure switch fits.

It's an M12x1.5 thread if that's any help (on the M20 anyway)

Drains seem mostly to have been drilled and bolted to the sump.

Ant from here spotted that some Landrover oil returns fit nicely, and there's even room for two :)

Of course! Stupid of me. Thanks for the info. I'd probably drill a hole into the sump then MIG or TIG a flared pipe on instead of tapping. Better safe than sorry. Can't imaging the sump is very thick. Thanks for your help.

the sump is only a few mm thick, its a horrid alloy that is really greasy when you try and weld it though, good luck M8

the landy fitting is spot on, I actually used a merc diesel oil return on mine, thats before I spotted the landy fittings though, much cheaper
