Pretty much as the title states really, how come the earlier engines seem to be 4 bhp less?

M50B25 is 192bhp


M52B28 is 193bhp.. Very much rated only tbh, due to German tax at the time. Most seem to start at 200bhp.

But the torque figures are a different matter apparently!

I know the 2 8 has more torque and that there was only one bhp in it but i'd just seen some odd figures flying around.

Anyone know what gains are to be expected from the 2 5 inlet manifold, tubular exhaust manifold and a chip... for instance? winkeye

It comes with a tubular manifold as standard..

Looking about 210/220bhp ish.
