The gap is bigger with the nuts loose, they are tightened right up. Im hoping they will reshape a bit with heat and use but im not holding my breath :?

Looks to me they might split Dan, as they are a 2 piece, and the way you drive won't help them

I cant get any movement at the moment while its up on the lift, will see what its like when on the ground.

I dont think they will split, but its not what I was expecting from £200 mounts

They fit worse than my m5 ones  I am sure Jhonno's akg's did not fit like that, i removed them myself and they seemed to fit perfect.

Nothing wrong with the subframe, I did think this myself but therer is a gap above the welds also, its not just the corner that has a gap

Happens to all of us.

I was getting desperate because I thought that I have the wrong engine loom for my S50 swap with the ECU plug on the wrong side.

After a FEW postings and pictures I realised that I was holding the cable collector box the WRONG WAY ROUND winkeye

Haha, I was fitting a set too with a friend and we were in dispute about which way they should go but in the end decided on one way and they fitted in lovely.

Would want to for the price of them anyway!!!

whats the opinion on using M5 or AKG mounts with a M52?
As the engine is a good deal lighter, have most found the M5 mounts fine with hard driving? I like to play rough too

They are too hard for a road car IMO, I can feel the engine through my feet most of the time, not a nice drive at all.
Looks like I will be going to S38 'round' mounts....

I wouldnt fit the square M5 mounts again

Yeah, I'm using the round M5 mounts for any M5x engined roadcars I'm doing (plus they are very cheap :) ) but with the weight and power of an S50 I'd see no option other than the AKG ones given the clearance to the exhaust manifolds too.

Christ, you must be a right softy at heart...
Dual-mass flywheel and complaining about engine mounts being too stiff

Track car - road car = two very different things, I think I have been spoilt by the armchair comfort of the E34 TBH :)
