engine swaps

i've done my research and am interested in swaping and engine either from a e30 m3, e36 standard or e36 m3. i just am having trouble finding the actual engine. does anyone know of a good site where they sell them. or where i can get one?

You mention E36 standard in your list. By this I presume you mean the M50 engine.
A much better source is the 5 series E34, which comes with the correct sump and oil pump, a more suitable wiring loom, is less likely to have been thrashed, and, in a complete car, should be cheaper.
