ENGINE CONVERSION (WIRING)

Hi. I don't no if anyone can help me i have an F reg E30 316 on carbs and i have changed the engine to a 325i M20 out of an 1986 E30 but the engine connector block that joins the engine lomb to the main harness does not match up. Is anyone able to help me shine a light on how to do this.

Do you mean different plugs, pins or wire colours?
The plugs should connect up as normal
