my car is running an m52b28 with an m50 inlet, the ecu is standard e36 328. I've heard that a remap will unleash some more power with the less restrictive manifold - which makes sense.

Is it possible to install a new EPROM in the same manner as most e30 ecus, or does it have a hard installed chip for the map itself which needs flashing? If so, what interface does it use and who can do this for me?

Alternatively, if it does use an EPROM, can I get one with a broadly suitable map already?

TIA,

She'll need flashing dude, unless it's V V early

the ECU does have fuzzy logic so would ramp up/down fuelling and timing to the limits of the trim tables pre programmed from the factory .

Make sure whoever maps her, changes these and the part/full throttle sites.

Thanks Ant, I'm guessing the early/late ecus are coded differently on the case, so I won't need to pull it apart to look at the ics to find out?

Pm sent as well.
