Hi,

It's a bit of a long story but...

A garage owning friend has a Nissan 200 SX SR20DET in stock that he's used as his daily driver for a while. He recently bough an Evo8 and wants to turn the Nissan into profit. i have an old Suzuki Bandit 600 that I never use and he's dead keen on doing his bike test. He asked me yesterday if I'd like a deal where he gets my bike and i get the engine, loom, ECU, prop etc out of the SX for a conversion into my track E30. He even offered to do the conversion in his garage for mate's rates.

My bike is worth around £1200 to £1500 depending on the time of year I sell it. I dont know much about the SX apart from it's taxed and MOT'd. I've driven it and it's very quick - I'd guess 250 to 300 bhp.

I was going to sell the Bandit and use the cash to refresh the M42 I have now - with the long term view of a supercharger. But, now I'm tempted to go with this deal. He's a very good mate (usher at my wedding) and he wouldn't sell me a pup.

Good deal?

Cheers - AJ

I forgot to say in my original post, I can have ANY part I need for the conversion from the 200SX before he breaks the rest of the car.

Perhaps t would be better t keep the 200sx until the conversion is finished then get rid of the rest of its parts stuff. Theo paid about £1000 for his engine which had some tweaking done to it if I remember correctly.

Well, I've gone for the deal. I sold the bike on eBay and handed over £1300 for the whole 200SX. I can have any part needed for the conversion before my mate breaks the rest of the car. :D
