Spoted this in another section and wondered if anyone has
more information.
Apparently has a lot of low down torque, which is where i like it.
but compared to the 2.7, 2.8 is it worth it, and does :?: it have any
other advantages over them. :?:

The main parts mentioned are

2.3L Crank (e30)
2.5L Con Rods (e30)
2.8L Pistons (e36)
what other parts are needed :?: I,m assuming, perhaps wrongly,
the parts are swapped into a 325i.

the M20 2.7 and 2.8 conversions are strokers, so a 2.6 stroker would have less torque. . .

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

I would guess that a 323 crank in good, usable condition will be as rare as an eta(525e)one,like rocking horse whatsit!

Waste of time. Just find a 2.8 crank and build a proper one.

too much recpricating wieght per cylinder stroke possible piston slap from new plus you can get more power out a N/a 2.7 than a N/A 2.8 over square engine springs too mind :D

Short stroke, large bore is usually the basis for a high revving engine but not with the heavy stock internals and cast crank. Doesn't make much sense; go with a 2.7 or 2.8 as there's no replacement for displacement.
