One mod is to swap intake cam to exhaust cam and buy "wilder" intake cam..

does that mean that two intake cams would be an improvement?Jonsku wrote:One mod is to swap intake cam to exhaust cam and buy "wilder" intake cam..
doesn't the s50 b30 provide upgraded cams for the m50?

Yes, what i mean is that intake-cam profile is "wilder" than exhaust cams, so swapping it to exhaust cam and bying "wilder" cam to intake cam livens up your engine.e301988325i wrote:does that mean that two intake cams would be an improvement?Jonsku wrote:One mod is to swap intake cam to exhaust cam and buy "wilder" intake cam..

I'm not sure if S50 cams are straight bolt-on to M50, but definitely they're improvement.

So, yes two intake cams in one engine would be better!!!

No, it's not improvement to put two intake-cams on the engine. When you swap intake cam to exhaust cam you need to bolt "wilder" intake cam than the original, otherwise it won't work well.e301988325i wrote:So, yes two intake cams in one engine would be better!!!

Waste of time messing with inlet cams, and this can only be done on a Non Vanos engine. You are better off advancing the inlet but it will affect the idle and make it sound like a tractor. Unless you have a pair of performance cams there is no point changing them

Or if you have S52 cams sitting there that cost you nothing or very little.
