Is there any advantage of using the ZF box over the getrag 260 box in conjunction with the M50 lump? Using the Getrag box looks like a lot more straight forward solution with prop shafts, crossmembers and the like?

The 260 will sit at an angle of about 12deg. You need to mod the gearbox mount and the gearshifting linkage.
