If you had an e30 with a m52 2.8 conversion would it be simple to put the s50 lump in and what else would you have to do? ecu and gearbox are my guesses. I'm guessing that the ex. manifold would be the same and the cooling / breaking pipes would be the same as its basicly the same lump?
Right or wrong ?

With the exception of the sump and engine mounts, I'd say you are pretty much starting from scratch again. Those that have done it on their own have all spent upwards of £5K doing this conversion.

£5K seems like a lot but I'll take your word for it. I have a running e36 M3 to take bits from though.

You can run the same gearbox and such, it´s the same one as the S50B30 one.
But as said, the S50 is alot different
