hi i noticed two things i need confirming, if my e30 shell is originally a 320i do i still need to modify my brake servo or will it clear? also reading afew treads someone mentioned if i used a 320i gearbox linkage mount i am able to use the zf boxes linkage with no modification to the actual linkage is this true? thanks ed.

yes you will still need to use either a clio or golf servo, unless you want to move the servo & master cylinder to the passenger side a bit further.

I believe the 320 linkage will offer the right length if you are going to use either a 318i or iS gearbox, the getrag 240
