Hi all, just wondering if i can pick your brains on a few questions i have on my up and coming conversion.

First off the car is an 87 325i se. Am i right in thinking this has the earlier higher comp engine?

I already have:

garret t3 with ar60 outlet
exhaust manifold
large fmic
external wastegate

Anyway i have just bought a complete later lump from a 1990 model to work on and develop whilst keeping the car on the road. Im hoping for around 300-350hp.

First of all is it worth stripping the engine down to skim the pistons to lower the compression, if so how much is the recommended maximum amount i should skim them by? or can i get away without touching the bottom end.

Where can i get uprated head bolts from?

What injectors are people using, i thought about 444cc skyline ones, Would these be up to the job? or are there other alternatives.

Im planning on running a megasquirt v3 on this setup where can i get one, and do they come with diagrams/instuctions etc. I have a spare engine loom so i assume it will make the fitting easier.

Any help is much appreciated.

cheers guys.

late B25 6K1 engine is 8.8:1 CR, no need to go lower unless you're going to run 1.5 Bar ++

T3 is a little small , what trim sizes dude ?

Imjectors are the wrong type, you need high impedance units , 42 lbs/hr llime greens from a mustang are my current favorite choice

as for the MS- happy to assist there with supply/build/fit/map whatever :thumb:

FYI stock CR, MS and wasted spark, smallish T3B18 with 0.63AR hotside @ 7psi is 270 HP(crank) with no issues.
