can anyone recomend what forged pistons will fit m42 for turbo use?(standard bore).

It save cash you could get the existing pistons skimmed to lower the CR. This will be a hell of a lot cheaper than forged pistons. How much power you aiming for?
Not in E30s any more :(

250/300ish.will stock pistons take it

You should be able to see 250bhp on stock pistons without lowering the CR as long as it's mapped properly. Anything over about 280bhp starts to get pricey from what I've seen from boosted M42s.
Not in E30s any more :(

Have you researched Mahle/JE/Accralite/Wiseco/Cosworth

All of them can/will make them to your specifications,although there will normally be a minimum number required before they'll make a batch.

Try here for an off the shelf set of Low comp ones

They also do ones at 10:1 and 13:1CR for NA builds

are the rods the same?or do i use m40 pistons with m42 rods.
