Hi,
I'm going to do an 316 auto to m42 manual swap but have never done an engine conversion before. Have read as much as I can on the subject on here. Was just after some last minute advice before I go ahead and attempt the swap.
I have read that the gearbox crossmember is different on a auto box to a manual box, so I'm needing to source a new one, but are the m40 manual and m42 manual box crossmemebers the same? Or do I have to get an m42 specific one?
I think I've got most things figured out in my head apart from the clutch pedal box swap piping. Is this right? Does a pipe from the clutch master go to the clucth slave, then another pipe goes up into the bonnet from the clutch master to the reservoir?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Ross
