standard bmw one is fine, without knowing your build spec thats best advice stick to OE.

no keep with standard bmw head gasket for that engine im guessing is M20. What pistons did you use and if the block or head has been decked you should measure everything work out your volumes and compression ratio too. Your map will be inappropriate too.

E39 M5's have V8s, so that wont work. I'd also recommend a custom remap, else you might as well not bother at all.
Not in E30s any more

Are you sure it's a 535 head? thats a M30 or BIG 6 engine, the M20 2.7 block is a Little 6 so it just will not fit, the big size differance is just one of many reasons why not... Have a good look through the engine swaps section
Have you had anything taken off the block top?

It sounds like those parts are totally mis-matched, no offence but you will most definately better off paying someone more experienced build and map it for you.

An M30B28 is 2788cc, but something tells me that isn't the answer here...
Moving to the Engine swaps / FI section anyway
