hi im new to the site. Im thinking of getting a e30 318is and what wondering how much and what sort of work it would be to turbo the m42 engine. Ive looked around on the net trying to find turbo kits but im not entirly sure what to look for. Any help would be great thank you

I thought turbos were the weapon of choice for the 318i boys not the IS crew

Is engine and a 4.45 diff is mine, seriously considering a proper diff on it though

Dont need a kit, DIY it! 
A log type turbo manifold will be 'cheap' enough to get fabricated (Turbo-brown might be able to help you out although depends how busy he is).
Then you need the turbo, oil feed, probably a cooler for the oil for the turbo, run it through an FMIC to get the air temp down then into Le Engine. Then some sort of custom management. I'm not sure on compression ratios etc. Thats the obvious basics but plenty of turbo guru's on here to help you

Theres next to F all for the M42 avaialbe turbo kit wise in the Uk or to fit a right had drive car.
So basicaly its a DIY or a custom build job.
