a mate of mine has a redtop engine and is thinking about wot to put it into . he likes the idea of an e30 has anyone done this and does it work ? if so wot gearbox did you use ?

it works, you could use a ford type 9 gearbox with a bellhousing to suit the red top.

the sump also requires work as the pan needs to be at the front of the engine.

another box that would fit is from the 4cylinder vauxhall omega.
