I have the clio servo on my my swap, I believe with the E30 master cylinder retained.
When I push the brake pedal there is some resistance and then a clunk and the pedal travels further.
The servo came bolted to the master cylinder so I do not know if the deviant I bought this lot from had bothered with a spacer.
Are my symptoms consistent with no spacer having been fitted and if so, what sort of "spacer" do I fit to the end of the rod from the master cylinder?
I did make a small adjustment to the bar that goes from the brake pedal to the servo as there would have been some slack on the pedal.
Is this the cause also?
Thanks
Lee

With no spacer bar fitted,my brake pedal went almost to the floor before the brakes came on.I started with a spacer of,I think,16mm length, and went up in small stages to 26mm.BUT,remember I combined this with a LHD/RHD conversion and am still fiddling with the relay rod to get the pedal to sit where I want it and to put the damn brake lights out!
Remove the two pipes on the side of the master, the two nuts that retain the master to the servo and slide the master off.The spacer should be a sliding fit down the hole in the back of the master, where the rod from the servo fits.I cut down a suitable sized bolt(several suitable sized bolts)to make mine.
The easiest way to make sure that the servo rod re-enters the master on re-assembly is to wedge the brake pedal all the way down so that it's end peeps out of the servo

I certainly wouldn't rule that one out if the standard of the rest of the stuff I bought is anything to go bydicko wrote:Sounds like the spacer is moving around in the m/c tube I would be careful driving in case it gives up altogetter
