Hi everyone, looking to put my m60b40 into an E30 in the very near future. Few questions before I tackle this though.

1. Does the brake servo and MC need to be moved to the left hand side of the engine bay, even on right hand drive models? Is there any alternatives to this? I shall be creating as much space as possible in the engine bay by relocating things like battery, fuse box etc.

2. Are custom exhaust manifolds required to allow the engine to fit? If so, do most people make 4-1 or 4-2-1 manifolds for each bank of cylinders? What diameter of pipe is required for the manifold?

Is there any threads on the site that show the linkage setup for the servo relocation and threads about the exhaust manifolds?

Cheers

Try this mate, a lot of fabrication required by the looks of things. It's a left hooker but shows most of the things you need to know

The E30 has the servo on the LHS. No matter what you do, space will be at a minimum. Search and ye shall find!

Check www.e30.de also, there's writeup and lots of info abot the swap also.

I'm doing M60 conversion at the moment (that thread linked before is of my car).
No need to relocate fuse box, you can use some E39 and X5 exhaust manifolds, E34 / E32 ones won't fit.
