Right im at the stage of preping the engine before it goes in and now im on the wiring swap on the c101 plug
i know its the black/white & black/purple i swap but do i cut through the wires and swap them or do i pull the pins out of the plug and swap it that way?
Thanks (in advance)

Either will do, I cut and soldered the wires as it was less fiddly and they are covered by the rubber boot thing so you don't see them anyway.
Don't forget the black and green to the starter motor or you'll have no heater and no electric windows unless the door is open.

Thanks,
having looked again if i did swap the pins over the black/purple looks like it wont reach without a fight as its on the other end of the plug, cut & solder it is!
The black & green wire for the starter,do i cut it away from the plug and join direct to the starter or do i slice into the wire and take a wire off it? ie leave it connected to the plug? (if that makes sense)
