the bigger the better. (in my opinion
)
the eaton M112 charger would suit the M30 (out of the v12 jag)
if not the M90 would be ok too.

im not a big fan of the rolex. i like the look of a real big ass charger and for the money you cant go wrong with a charger off a jag.....
plus in a later date you want more power you could just simply change the jag eaton for a whipple twin screw which has a massive improvement.
and you dont get a real good whine from a rolex...... well not as good as a twin scew or roots charger.

I would be worried if my rolex was whining instead of ticking

1. they are old and renown for wearing out very quickly needing rebuilds, thats why they are cheap to buy used.STiBen wrote:i like the look of a real big ass charger and for the money you cant go wrong with a charger off a jag.....
2. needs a lot more engine power to run same boost as rotrex
3. very inefficient and gets worse as it gets hotter much quicker
4. difficult to mount and fabricate pipework cleanly because of its size and restricted mounting positions
5. jag ones only good lower down to mid-range and up top they suffer nasty boost drops as it cannot produce enough volume of air too keep up with what the engine is consuming at high revs.
6. i can go on all day, its cheap for a reason and result aint great either

Unless your like Mr Appletree who can machine and fabricate all the bits at home, i seriously doubt most people could fit any roots/screw type charger well enough for less than a Rotrex kit and achieve similar power levels and reliability.

You was talking about roots type supercharger as per Jags. A whipple is different again?

I agree, the Rotrex will also be easier to fit and keep charge temps lower with punting the charge through an intercooler. The other type is more difficult to do that.

will cost you erol as you will n eed pipe work engine management.
My idea would to put a M50/M52 in it and charge that
better in the long term as the M30 is an old tired donk that should be used as anchor for a ship
lol
but each to their own !!!

ive got the managment (m/s) , pipework can easily be made up, just need bigger injectors and charger ! but dependant on how much the chargers go for, i might do a U turn and go for m30 turbo !!
.. all depends on price comparison between the charger and turbo manifold+turbo !
