Hi there people new to posting on this site am in need of some help!
Ive had my e30 for a year now and ive just put an m50 in it, its nearly done but ive got a problem with what lambda sensor wires do what. Ive used 328 tubular manifolds which came with Red, Black, Yellow, White with the wrong connector. And the original sensor with the correct plug has White, White, Black, Grey. Ive heard 2 are for the heater element and 2 for the signal to the ECU.
Can anyone match these up or point me in the right direction.
Many thanks.

M50 uses one 02 sensor in the collector for both banks, M52 has one for each bank.
regardless of what manifolds you used, the M50 02 sensor is correct for the engine and ECU you have so I'd use that instead
weld the 02 holes up or leave them in but unconnected and add the M50 unit to the exhaust in the vicinity of the gearbox.
sorts out all the wiring issues and will function as intended then.
It should be in both but in practice, one pipe with an 02 would suffice, indeed an M50 can make more power without an 02 sensor at all, however idle quality can be affected...... no abilty to tweak the idle mixture on these hence the factory closed loop 02 setup.

Cheers for that, i was going to fit the original sensor in the manifold but it was too long and hit the block. Trouble is ive joined the manifolds to a scorpion stainless exhaust. Guess ill have to have a go at migging stainless.
I see your from A tech was looking at your website last nite. I also am looking into fitting cams then a remap. Would you reccommend a cam degee for road use?
Cheers.
