How much can the M20/b25 propshaft take before it twists or breaks?
Also how does the guibo & donut hold out?
thanks

the rubber donuts are useless, they dont take much abuse before they break! the prop shouldnt break before the donut :D

When you launch of the line with 500whp hitting the pavement.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

I have the ZF gearbox from a 328i/3.0 M3 fitted with a 328i proshaft. The prop sports a much larger doughnut and the gearboxes are supposed to be very strong. They fit easily to M40/M50/S50 engines, on the M20's they'd probably have to sit at a slightly different angle meaning tweaking the gearshift and mounts.

Worth consideration but the M20 prop shouldn't break till you run ridiculous torque.
