Which gearbox oil and where from?

I am about to fit the engine and box (at frikkin last!) to my project car and want to fill the gearbox before I do (or it's a sod to do).

It is a 1997 MCoupe/Roadster box (the same 5 speed unit as in the 328i and the E36 3.0 M3).

There is a big sticker saying it's been filled for life (gotta love that optimism from the BMW engineers!) but it leaked its guts all over the car I brought it home in..

What oil shall I fill it with (really good quality), and where can I go and pick some up from tomorrow or friday? I want to get the thing into the engine bay before monday so I can start the wiring.
