2.5 into a 318

i want to put a 2.5 lump into my car. but i dont no which one to pick. it has to be an easy conversion as the car cant be off the road for to long.

i was thinkin of the 2.5 from a e30 325, dose anyone no how easy it will be to put in and its capabilitys ect...

If your after a easy straight foward conversion yes a 2.5 from another E30 would be best.
Ideally you want a doner 325i as you need the following-

Engine including airbox & wiring loom
Gearbox
Propshaft
Ecu
Rad
Exhaust

It is best to also swap the front legs as the 325i ones are larger and have vented discs as the 6 pot engine is heavier then the 4 pot 318i.
Also swap the 325i rear diff into the 318i otherwise you will have very low gearing and a small case diff that may not last too long depending upon how you drive.

I think thats it from memory, did one a while back and I think that more or less covers it.
