Hello,

Im after a nice exhaust system for my 318is, I understand that a manifold is one of the most important things on an NA engine so have been searching for one. I have found plenty of parts for Left Hand Drive models but am struggling to find one for a UK Spec Right Hand Drive model.

Can anyone reccommend a good supplier? Also, any ideas on which exhaust system to go for?

Cheers,

Craig

But the OE supplied one isn't what you would call nasty! Its not as if its a log manifold. I suspect Tim_S still has the standard one on his 2.1 m42 and that makes 180+bhp.

ok, so do you suggest i stay with the standard manifold and just get a system that mounts onto it?

The is comes with a tublar manifold from the factory so I doubt an after market one will be much better.

Search for a few of Tims m42 build thrads and you will have a better idea of how to get more power from a 318is

lol, I don't have a standard fannymold :) The standard one is pretty good though, it's certainly not something to change in a hurry.
