Hello,

Has anyone else had this problem with the blower not working? I've put the green/black wire to the starter via a spade, and the electric windows and sunroof work with door closed...

Any help or tips appreciated,

Cheers,
Shaun.

Do the door mirrors work?
Take the green/black of the starter motor, and see if that kills the windows/roof (in case your wiring has been modified at some time).
If this stops the windows/roof and mirrors, then the unloader relay control circuit is working, at least for relay K5 (windows/roof). Relay K7 feeds the heater fan and mirrors.
Pull out relay K7 and short together pins 30 and 87 of its base with a short piece of wire. Does this make the fan work?

Cheers for your help brian, door mirrors work, as don't the roof and windows when not connected.

I shorted out pins 30 and 87 but the fan still didn't work, there is power there so i am going to try a different relay incase that one doesn't work (seems wierd that the mirrors still work though)

Also out of interest what would K8 be for?

Cheers,

Shaun.

If the mirrors work, then power is all present and correct up to at least the inner edge of the fuse for the fan, fuse 20. A wire goes from the outer side of the fuse to the fan switch, and then, on the full speed position, directly to the fan motor, via the heater loom to car loom plug and socket.
Not unusual for fan motors to seize up.
K8 is for front foglamps.

Cheers for your help again brian, guess i'll have to investigate it more, it was working before the conversion so seems wierd it's not working 3 months on. As for K8 that would explain why my front fog lights don't work as the relay's missing!

Cheers mate, appreciate the help, actually have an idea of what's what now 8)
