hi lads and ladetts,
has anyone ever built a turbo exaust manifold for there e30?
i'm trying to show my mate that you can build a low pressure turbo conversion on a budget. i'm only plannin on runnin 7-9 psi on a standurd ecu. i've heard it mentioned that a strong home built exaust manifold is a good way to go.
i have also been told that there is a company were i can buy the flanges for the head and the turbo seat, had anyone ever heard of such a company?
any suggestions greatfully recived.

Mate if you do a search you will find lots of info on the zone regarding turbo manifolds.
Iirc turbo brown had a link in his signature that provided downloadable details regarding a proper homemade mani.
Also try E30tech where there's loads of threads on turbo manis etc but bear in mind most of its for Lhd.
I know Ant will defo be able to hook you up with some great quality manis and you might want to pm Blingsta as he has a flipped mani setup as is always helpful.
Not too sure about the std ecu though as that could prove to be a disaster ito head gaskets at the least. MS is the way to go and Ant is the man for this defo.
Try e bay for flanges or a good engineering shop or welder.

cheers for the positive comments fellas
easy enough to make if you can weld, must be good welds though !!
O/T I have a complete, low comp 325i turbo engine/box/ecu all rebuilt late in 06(by me) that is now coming out for a derv swop, customer is asking 4K for the lot.
did 280 lbs/ft and 303 hp iirc on 10 psi, kit is a kormann manifold and a large volvo intercooler.
Indeed turbo-brown has flange drgs in a link on his signature text.
