The hose which is joined to the top radiator hose goes to the bottom heater stub.
The hose that goes to the expansion tank and thermostat housing goes on the top heater stub.

Get the header tank as high as you can when filling the system mate as they can be a pain to properly bleed! Be prepared to swear 'often' lol :D

I always go by the Haynes manual (usually a last resort!), undo the bleed screw on the thermostat housing, fill the (raised) expansion tank until water comes out the bleed screw then do it up. Put the cap on the expansion tank, run the engine with the heater on full and keep cracking off the bleed screw until a steady trickle of water comes out - no bubbly stuff. Heater should be blowing hot and temp guage should not go anywhere near the red!
I also pour water down the top hose to fill the rad as much as possible before I start.

This way has always worked well for me!

Its nearly done, just exhaust to fit which is happening on Thurs and need to bleed water system, then get rest of interior back in before it goes to paint.

Once its back from there, new suspension and poly bushes all round, sport ARB's, strut braces, new brakes and LSD all to fit.... 8O

Plus a few bling bits, Cf DTM vented cup mirrors, Alpina front lip etc 8)

Would have been done along time ago if I didnt keep starting new projects!
