PS

I would view 900 degrees as the utter limit for a road car, i would never allow it to higher than that!

I'm guessing you're using a boost controller then M8 ?

I'm not as yet, still boggo actuator straight off the compressor housing.

you can use boost control on the MS, the code is there but an extra output on the CPU has to be jumpered, you can then set variable boost based on TPS ADC value, ie 10psi above 80% as you've indicated, thats my next logical step, just need the funds for the controller TBH

Budjet constraints are my biggest handicap on this project, I promised myself I'd not spend more than I sold my Tech 1 for last year, so far I've got a few pence left

Not a seperate boost controller no, its all built into the ECU, fords have boost control as standard, they are high tech, not like these basic old barges we are all driving around in made by bmw

Andy , how you getting on with your LC-1 dude ? and my apologies I got as far as boxing your Corky Bell books then stopped, shoot me your addy again and I'll get them back to you for defo this week
Erm, not had the sensor boss welded on yet but no rush because i'm going to fit a bigger TB(twin 60mm) to my engine so theres no point playing with it til then. It's running really well but too rich is my guess at the mo.

I'll drop you an email ref my ady in a sec.

What sort of AFR's are good to aim for on a N/A engine ?

Mid 12s when flat out generally, and higher than that for everything else, with around Stoich (14.7) on cruise/idle.

Varies a little from engine to engine though as to what is optimum of course!

Think ive missed something here. do the MSs have EGT sensor ins or are you running somthing else to mesure that?

OK, been playing around with my setup today , pulled 11 logs in 3 hours and consumed a lot of fuel

however , I had an issue with a tiny bit of pinking.... and using datalogs have found out why

http://img230.imageshack.us/my.php?image=7255psi9jf.jpg

see the 104 figure ?, thats the accel enrich pushing the AFR down to 10 on rising boost, not good!

I now have no accel enrich settings and the car drives sweet as a nut on boost with AFR around 12.5 - 12.0 over 6 psi, all ok, I will add a small accel enrich but not under boosted conditions.

I have to say, without datalogging this would have been very hard to cure, kudos to everyone involved in MS, it really has become more than the sum of its parts
