cheers mate

it's off the road for a bit at the mo, having a return pipe tig welded to the new sump after i bashed the old one - the original return dripped a bit so might as well do it properly while the sump's off. having the manifold surfaces skimmed too, to make sure it doesn't blow the gaskets long term.

power? wouldn't like to guess. but i guess around 300 lol

at the moment

Must be more than that Toby!

Occured to me the other day that you could get your FPR connected up without cocking up the light load fuel by just running the signal line to the turbo side of the throttle body rather than the engine side.

That way it only sees atmos pressure or positive :)

Sorry, just a gratuitous bump for my convenience! :)

It took ages to find this thread again!

Quite well thanks mate! :D

How are you doing?

I've been keeping a bit quiet on here lately but here's how my car looks as of this evening: winkeye

I'm a bit bit puzzled over wiring and intercooler mounting and plumbing, and as I'm fitting Toby's old turbo gear I'm doing some research!

Only thing is I'm not using his M5 i.t.b.s so I need to change a few things as I'm using his original inlet, so that adds to the difficulty of wiring and plumbing stuff up now! :?

Not bad fella, not bad. Hope all is well down your end as well.

The day before yesterday I was wondering where you'd got to, then I saw you post something, albeit unrelated to this.

Turbo setup is looking good, fits so nicely in there. I realise 'nicely' means its probably a frigging pain in the arse to get all the charge pipes hooked up etc. :(

Will it make the pod? winkeye

The car (as an n/a 335i) only came off the road monday evening, so yeah it all fits very well! I've got this week off work and decided to go for it!

I've not shouted about this mostly because I can't take much credit for it.

Toby did the hard work getting it going in the first place, I'm just fitting it to my car!
It isn't a small job all the same, I've had the engine out and back in this week, but Toby did the really hard work, as seen in this thread!

I've slightly altered a few little bits, hopefully to improve an already ingenious creation, including bigger injectors, which was an issue.

My plan for tomorrow is to fit the intercooler, exhaust, fuel pump, change the oil filter and start on the wiring.

The intake plumbing could be a head-scratcher as i'll have to change things a little, but the pictures I've saved from this thread just now should help a lot! :D

Who said weeks off work were relaxing! :D

I'm hoping it will be running by tuesday, or I'm blagging lifts to work! :(

And unless something terrible happens, I'm hoping to get in the low 13's at the 'Pod! winkeye
