lol easy enough job lol
erm the shafts are complete custom jobbies
there about 2" diameter and use ujs not cv joints I've gotta get them modified yet tho for the bigger output flanges as there only for medium case at the mo and gotta have them shortened slightly for lateral movement as the large case diff is slightly wider

Might be worth while looking at an e36 trigger wheel for the diff mate,

I had to use one on mine when I fitted the twin ear rear cover,
As I had about a 10mm gap before the cover could go flush.

M50 Turbo!!! :o I shall say no more :D

as i mentioned yesterday about the rear cover is going to have to be spaced bk i just cut some tubing up to represent the spacer of 10mm and it works fine
just a little pic of the gap and where the speed sensor now sits

Image

so ive ordered the material for the spacer which should be here the next couple of days but in the mean time heres a couple more of that ive done today

Image
Image
Image
Image

also had to reattach the rear anti roll bar mounting points

Image

but the rear cross member is all in and welded and the drop links are tacked in place dont have pics yet as my battery died on me on my phone will get some more tomoz with more updates

material for the rear cover spacer came today
so i jumped straight on to it to get it done basically just used the old gasket as a template

Image
Image

after taking the grinder to it

Image

and after grinding drilling sawing sort of got the middle bit out

Image

and after about 3 hours its done

Image

just gotta buy 2 new gaskets for it one either side and should be good to go
another job of the long list of things to do :P

I notice the driveshaft UJs appear to have grease nipples. 8O I didn't think those were fitted to cars after about 1980. :?

yeah they do there on there so there serviceable after all there not like cvs that just have there own grease laying about

I don't mind what they look like they do the job and are bloody strong I think they were built to handle like 1400 bhp and came off a e30 drag car the guy was changing all his drive line so were no longer needed so I had them

Don't know if your fuel tanks in the boot but if it's not then the brace you have welded in the fork of the trailing arm is in the same space as the rubber filling tube to the tank, it will still go but might rub if not guided abit, ask me how I know...:)
