its class getting it going! you dont have to have a 328i prop you can get the e34 one cut and matched to a e30 one.
Thanks mate!
Only reason I mentioned the 328i prop was I thought it just fit, no chopping??? If not I will get on to Reco-prop I reckon
ric325i wrote:jaffro was mental enough to drive his round the block with no exhaust
Mate I was to scared to have it running for more than about 5 seconds, aint got the rad plumbed in yet!!! Even so, don't think I would want to drive it with the exhaust off, sounds like a foooking tank!!

where did you source your engine from, i'm looking around for one at the moment
I just asked around until a complete donor car came up through a friend of a friend, there are some cheap ones floating around on ebay and pistonheads from time to time, just got to keep your eyes peeled!!! My donor car cost me £300.

Mate when It first fired up I was like a little kid
As for the wheels I have them for sale on here, but after looking at the last pic of them on this thread I don't think I want to sell them anymore!!

To be honest I am not to sure mate??!

The guide on here does say it can be used but I am yet to hear from anyone that has used one??
I hope it is the case as they are cheaper than custom!!!

Yeah mate, I thought that when I read his "m30 conversion for sale thread" I am exactly like that, don't know what I'm doing one minute to the next!!
£60 doesn't seem bad at all!! Just need to know for sure if the 328i will work, better get a tape measure out tomorrow I guess!!!

Not a great deal happened since Monday, took the front manifold off and chopped off the flange as it was fouling the steering coupling, I think I have got the engine in position 2?? It isn't touching the bulkhead, it is touching the brake servo? There were only 2 hole choices in the mounts so not sure where position 3 comes in??
Anyway, I managed to weld the first part of the e34 down pipe to a chopped new section of down pipe that should mate up nicely with my 325i system. This will make more sense when I get a picture up tomorrow when I'm done at work!!

position 3 is the hole on the mounts closest to the front of the car when in situ thus positioning the engine further back towards the bulk head.
E30 M30 Mounts £100 pm me for info.

if you can get the engine in the whole furthest back then its position 3 and thats the best one to get the balance of the car right and keep the dizzy cap away from the rad.
position 1....forget that. you dont need that its wrong, very wrong.
you couldnt get a standard rad in the space you would need the B35 rad which sits in the frame in the front - rare and expensive

Cheers mate! I think my e34 535i rad may fit with the engine where it is, need to chop the front belt recess off the crank pulley first though
