Well I tried some e36 forums but not many people there are as good as you :P when it comes to knowledge of such a conversion. Don't worry the engine is found in the E30's son ;) the E36 so its not like its going into a civic or something. It may go into an E30, although this is unlikely.

Anyway, I am pretty much sure on what spec. I want, but just need to clear a few things before I commence. I want to "bolt" on the supercharger to the side of the engine (the right hand side if viewing from the front of an e36 bonet to the rear of the car) - near where the alternator is.

To do this I will need a custom bracket made up that can hold the supercharger securely in place, at at least 4 fixing points on the side of the engine. It needs to be positioned in such a way so that the SC is parallel to the crank and the SC pulley parallel to the front of the engine where it will connected via a belt to the engine e.g. alternator or powersteering pulley belt. i.e. it needs to be done very precisely with steel or a high strength alloy. Where would one get this done and for how much £Â£
