One question though: Where on Earth's the servo gone?!

Brake master cylinder moved to RHS, you can just see it under the expansion tank. Remote servos used.

Does it need a servo per brake circuit?

Yes it does, when the pic was taken they were not fitted, but braking was a bit difficult- it required a very hefty shove on the brake pedal. The vacuum was taken off the inlet manifold, where you can just see the brass bungs on the intake runners, these were fed into a small "manifold" and then teed off into the two servos.
